For early-morning risers staying at the Innermoarhof in Riffian, the outdoor adventures begin right outside our front door: from Riffian head to the Obisell-Alm mountain pasture. Across the meadows and forests, past small waterfalls and mountain streams, the trail take you up to the Alpine refuge. From the Obisell mountain lake, follow the trail to the Hahnenkamm refuge.

Another interesting hike takes you to the now-abandoned Schneeberg mining village near the disused mine. Along the nature trails and even a guided tour of the old mine, there’s plenty to see.

In the hinterland behind the Passeiertal Valley, the quiet and contemplative mountain village of Pfelders nestles between the imposing summits of the Texelgruppe Nature Park. With cars and most forms of road traffic prohibited, there’s hardly any noise at all: just green meadows and a hiker’s paradise. In Zeppichl, just above Pfelders, are numerous hiking trails and a high-rope course in the forest.
