Enjoying Your Mountain Holiday in the Passeiertal Valley
One of South Tyrol’s most spectacular valleys
Mountains, forests and rivers: the Passeiertal Valley is one of the most breath-taking Alpine valleys in South tyrol. Both in summer and winter. As the summits reach higher into the sky and the Passeiertal Valley splits in two at the end of the valley, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic, rising up towards the Jaufen and Timmelsjoch mountain passes.
With their spectacular vistas and jet mild climatic conditions, the adjacent villages of Riffian and Saltaus lie next to the Hirzer cableway that takes hikers and excursionists up the Hirzer mountain in just a few minutes. The trails down in the Passeiertal Valley are ideal for more leisurely hikes.
A network of trails and routes attract all kinds of sportspersons: hikers, climbers, MTN bikers, river rafters, as well as paragliders. Discover the Passeiertal Valley: on land, water and from the air.
The tranquil Passeiertal Valley also lies conveniently close to all kinds of shops, and the spa town of Meran hosts numerous cultural events, with museums, festivals, etc., offering visitors plenty to see and do.
